Responsibilities
1.Prepare and serve a selection of wines as per the established Four Seasons Standards.
2.Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the restaurant server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system, check completed orders with the guest’s
original order.
3.Service and take orders for wines from guests as per the request from any restaurants.
4.Anticipate guest
needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and
appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
5.Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments;
properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
6.Is responsible for the monthly or weekly wine inventory.
7.Is responsible to maintain the wine cost by as per the set standards of the Four Seasons.
Controls spillage, spoilage, over pour or undercharging the guests.
8.Maintains the spoilage report of wines.
9.Checks wines storage and temperature of all wine cellars of all restaurants.
10.Follow up with assistance of finance for all wine contracts and tracks the rebate amount.
11.Creates a profitable wine by glass program and banquet wine program.
12.Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
13.Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
14.Takes trainings for wine program for team members and creates wine champions in all
restaurants.
15.Assist with wine inventory.
16.Wine cellar temperature and storage.
17.All information should
be in confidential.
18.Keep good communication with all departments to ensure keep good coordination with
them.
19.Perform any others tasks assigned by direct manager.
20.To maintain a good
working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and
encouragement as needed.
21.To maintain a full line of communication with supervisors.
22.To respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Education:
University degree or equivalence
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of working experience preferably in a hospitality or
restaurant related field or other equivalent experience is required.
Skills and Abilities:
1.Being calm and patient and be of service passion. Team player.
Being fair and responsible. Be passion and love working.
2.Requires reading, writing and oral
proficiency in the English and Chinese language
3.Requires knowledge or the ability to operate computer equipment
including word processing and spreadsheet software.
4.Good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
5.Logic, eye for details, approachable and willing to help
6.Good knowledge of Word, Excel and
PowerPoint
7.Has a working knowledge of Four Seasons
cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures
8.Has a solid knowledge and understanding
of F&B Operations, food & beverage service, cost control, labor
control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting
9.Has strong leadership and interpersonal
skills, is able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the
operation
10.Has the ability to anticipate and
prioritize the needs of the guest proactively
11.Flexible with his/her schedule with the
ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
