SCOPE
Market Analyst assisting Director of Revenue andDirector of e-commerce in maximize all revenues to and for the Hotel includingbut not limited to Room, Food & Beverage and Catering revenues for TheLangham, Shanghai, Xintiandi. Create, maintain and update business analysis forpast and future business data from LHG defined market segments and online channelson a regular basis. Assist in collecting competitors’ intelligence; monitoringhotel’s inventory management and pricing in various distribution channels,analyze current OTA/CRM/media/ upselling programs.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Businessanalysis
Using the
tools/systems provided and in compliance with the Langham Hotels Group
(LHG), maintains, updates, analyzes and shares information of TLSHX
business performance; competitors’ intelligence; business trends in rooms
and non-rooms revenues by segment and channel; account contribution
analysis; group selling guideline; a master calendar of external events,
denial reports, function space analysis (as appropriate), guest capture
rates (for Food and Beverage, as appropriate)
Understands
the composition of hotel profitability, and uses this to analyze and
evaluate business from local accounts and groups so as to provide
recommendations to s relating to future business trend, pricing direction
and market mix control.
Monitors
demand periods for rooms through an analysis of historical data and
current bookings. Assists with
tracking and analyzing of booking pace, group wash, cut off enforcement
for groups as well as denied and regretted business.
Track and
establish pick up trends, occupancy histories and market segment
development to facilitate accurate forecasting.
Assist
Director of Revenue in creating statistical information for management to
support any financial explanation.
Assist
Director of Revenue in the budgeting processes. Provides reports and
analysis used for the annual budget preparation on all revenue aspects of
the business. Assists Director of Revenue in short/mid-term revenue-based
forecasts.
Market Intelligence collection andanalysis
Monitors
competitor pricing for all revenue generating departments, understands the
dynamics of the local market and the demand generators, prepares reports
and analysis to be used by to the Revenue and E-commerce on a timely
basis.
Collate,
maintain and distribute relevant business information obtained from both
existing external and internal sources to the hotel’s revenue council.
Assist
Director of E-Commerce in obtaining information about competitors’
product, promotions, campaigns and strategies.
Systems management and maintainence
Learn and
utilize IDeaS revenue management system with directions given by Director
of Revenue on a regular basis. This includes assisting Director of Revenue
with any manipulation of the yield hurdle points and daily inventory
management where appropriate.
Assist to
monitor rooms inventory including allocation and groups to maximize yield
in through proper restrictions and close-out.
Assist Director
of Revenue & Director of E-commerce in managing all channels (Opera,
SynXis, GDS, Brand.com, Wechat Mall, Fliggy Mall and all other OTAs) including but not limited to room types and
sell strategy. Ensures hotels are
in compliance with the LHG Best Rate Guarantee philosophy and brand SOP.
Assist
Director of E-commerce to manage F&B online channels including but not
limited to Dianping, Meituan, Wechat, Fliggy.
Support agent
Assist in all
revenue strategies and tactics implementation.
Provide
analysis and reports relating to Reservations and Front Office on upselling and reservations conversion.
Conduct any
special projects relating to market research and operational optimization
(productivity analysis, resource planning, Key Performance Indicators and
etc.).
Support
Director of E-commerce on weekly/monthly report including but not limited
to OTA production reports, promotion summary report, LHG Adhoc reports.
Others
Perform any
duties assigned by the Management that deemed necessary.
