Achieve budgetedrevenues and personal/team sales goals and maximise profitability. Participatein the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, the hotelmarketing plan and business plan, and financial plans.
Create andimplement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increaseaverage rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales.
Produce monthlyreports and sales forecasts to analyse current/potential market and salestrends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitorperformance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan.

Manage day-to-daysales activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance anddevelopment goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regularfeedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, andrecognise good performance.
Educate and train sales team that isresponsible for developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, andimplementing sales strategies. Ensure staff is properly trained and has thetools and equipment to carry out job duties.
Work with otherdepartment managers to ensure proper staffing levels based on guest volume.

Provide guestswith information (example: loyalty programmes, area attractions, restaurants,facility information) to enhance guest experience.
Develop andmaintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts in order toproduce group and/or convention business, to include room sales, food &beverage sales, and catering/banquet services.
Scheduleconventions and/or business group activities at the hotel and coordinate withother hotel-level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the salesoffice and prospective clients.
